Ontario Board Information

NOTE: Several MLS boards have requirements in their bylaws that do not permit agents to join them who are members of other boards, unless all other eXp agents on that board join as well. As such, we must review all requests to join multiple boards on a case-by-case basis to determine feasibility, options or alternatives available to us.

If interested in joining a secondary board, please click the link and complete our form:

Multiple Boards Online Form

Any real estate boards part of ORTIS* or the OC** have merged their MLS databases to form a unified Matrix platform called ITSO.  This means, if you are a member of any one of the 23 ITSO boards, you have full access to MLS info for all those boards (more joining as time goes on).

In essence, if eXp Realty is not a member of a particular ORTIS or OC board, our agents can become a member of any one of the ITSO boards that we are members of in order to access that board’s MLS info.

TRREB Arbitration and Process

The By-Law of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (“TRREB”) establishes an Arbitration and Professional Standards Steering Committee, one purpose of which is to direct all Arbitration activity of TRREB. The Hearing Panels, comprised of members of the Arbitration Roster, are granted exclusive jurisdiction and power to hear or settle all Claims (a Claim is defined as being a dispute arising between Brokerage Members regarding real estate business, and in particular, relating to the division, distribution or disposition of a commission paid or to be paid in a transaction).

Arbitration provides Brokerage Members an inexpensive alternative to the courts to have disputes heard on a timely basis by fellow real estate professionals.

You must be logged into TRREB to access the following links:

Claim Form

If you are experiencing a commission dispute, TRREB's arbitration process is here for you. Before getting started, learn more about the types of claims you can file.

If your commission dispute is related to a listing on TRREB's MLS® System, you can file a claim. This may mean:

  • You have signed a Buyer Representation Agreement with a buyer and a property is later sold by another Member to the same buyer, or
  • You are representing a buyer, and the Listing Brokerage has failed to pay the commission on the MLS® System within 30 days.

Remember, arbitration claims are submitted by your Broker of Record no later than 90 days after closing. Otherwise, your Broker of Record will need to file a motion.

TRREB is unable to accept claims for:

  • Interoffice disputes between you and your current or former brokerage,
  • Commission earned through a builder, or
  • Non-TRREB Members. Arbitration claims are handled under the By-Law of the Board that the Listing Brokerage is a Member of unless all agree in writing to have the claim resolved in another manner.

Please reach out to your area Managing Broker should you have any further questions.
